Differentiate between Data & Information

The main difference between Data and Information is that Data is the random, unorganized raw fact about something that needs to be organized before its use whereas Information is the data that has been processed and organized into a useful context.

Data processing.

 

   In a computer science the da data processing is the series of operations perform by the computer on data to produce , retrieve or transform classify or meaningful information.

Generally there are six basic steps in data processing

Types of Computers

 There are four basic types of computer

Supercomputers

 Today, modern supercomputers run hundreds of thousands of processors, capable of computing quadrillions of calculations in just a few nanoseconds

Mainframe Computers

The processing capabilities of mainframe computers are measured in MIPS, or millions of instructions per second. Supercomputers, on the other hand, are measured in FLOPS, or floating point operations per seconds.

Minicomputers

A minicomputer is a multiprocessing machine that can support up to about 200 users at the same time.

Microcomputers

Microcomputers are the ones people are most familiar with on a daily, non-professional basis, but of course that doesn’t mean they’re exclusive to the home. Microcomputers are smaller computers that run on microprocessors in their central processing units. They are much, much cheaper than supercomputers, mainframe computers and even minicomputers, because they’re meant for everyday uses that are more practical than professional. The range of capabilities for microcomputers are still vast, though.

Importance of computer programming.

 

      According to my personal opinion ther programing is soul of computer means any thing which we do on computer any type of task perform by a computer is depend on programing. The programmer defines a problem, plans a solution, codes the program, tests the program and, finally, documents the program. Usually, the programmer defines what he knows and the objective, selects a program to use, debugs the program in stages after completion to ensure no errors are introduced and then documents the design, development and testing of the program.
