Find out the quantity of STIRRUPS in kg for 8 feet length of beam, Cross section of the beam is given in Figure 2. Assume missing data if any.

Q#: Find out the quantity of STIRRUPS in kg for 8 feet length of beam, Cross section of the beam is given in Figure 2. Assume missing data if any.

Solution#

Lenghth of beam  =   8 beams

        = 8-0.125 -0.125 = 7.75

NO.of stirrups =  7.7/ 0.5 +1 =16.5 = 17

Length of 1  stirrup  =  2×L +2×B  + 2 × (10 d)                              d= 0.375 of #3bars

= 2 (12 -0.125 -0.125 ) + 2(18 -0.125 -0.125) + 9(0.375) +9(0.375) -6(0.375) -6(0.375)

=50.25 =  4.1875ft

Total legth of stirrups = 4.1875 × 17 = 71.1875

Total weight of stirrups = 71.1875  × 0.1701  = 12.1089 kg

Find out the quantity of steel in Kg for the given slab. (Figure 1). Assume missing data

Q#: Find out the quantity of steel in Kg for the given slab. (Figure 1). Assume missing data.

Solution#

Solution

 No. of Bars horizantally

19×12= 228''  => 228/7  = 32.57  = 33bars

Lengtht 20'    => total = 660 feet  #3 steel

No. of Bars vertically;

20×12 = 240  => 240/5 = 48+1  = 49 bars

 At lngth 21’     => total = 1029 feet

 5’×5’ deduction 6''/7 and 6''/5  =>  9bars and 12bars

5’×5’ total deduction 105ft => so 660  +1029 – 105  = 1584 feet

#1feet weight in kg = 0.171 kg => 0.171 × 1584 =  270.86 kg

=270.86 kg
