Can we use hidden beams in a flat slab?

Flat slabs do, in fact, have concealed beams inside them. Flat slabs are divided into middle strips and column strips. Column strips are sort of concealed beams with significantly more reinforcement than middle strip.

Due to the fact that moment redistribution happens between middle and column strips, hence, there is no need to provide any additional beams in the flat slabs. Even if you put a load on the middle strip of the slab, its major component will be transferred to column strip due to moment redistribution.
